Jerry Walton
British artist
(b.1962) Worcester, UK
Jerry Walton is a remarkable self-taught artist with no formal training. He worked for a short time as a figure painter for Royal Worcester Porcelain and has managed to paint in every spare moment.
"I have always seen the natural world as a colourful palette and this is where I get my inspiration to recreate interesting and complex images on paper. I also enjoy Fantasy Art where I can let my imagination run riot and take the observer on a magical journey. I mainly paint precise, detailed work in watercolours and gouache of a variety of subjects but each painting has a trademark shield bug hidden somewhere in it (sometimes I can’t find these myself) I also paint in oils and these are usually bolder, more dramatic canvases.
I would love to share my work with as wide an audience as possible and hope that each viewer can experience some of the enjoyment which has gone into creating every painting."
