Adam Binder
British Wildlife Sculptor
(b.1970) Cotswolds

For the second year running Adam Binder is the winner of the David Shepherd Foundation Wildlife Artist of the Year Sculpture Category, with his bronze Leopard sculpture.

Three other works by Adam Binder were also Highly Commended: Polar Shift, Tortoise and In the Rain.

Commenting on this year's work, judge Hazel Sloan summed up the judging panels views saying: “From every angle the sweeping lines and stimulating texture invite you in to spy on the intimate play of the lithe and elusive cat.”

"The competition attracted a fantastic range of work from artists from all over the world but Adam's work was so beautifully tactile that we couldn’t resist," said David Shepherd who was also on the judging panel.
